Westerners Stay Hot Behind Weather-Shortened Win in Newport
North Adams, MA – Rain washed out the rest of Tuesday's NECBL slate, leaving Danbury and Newport as the league's lone matchup. The Westerners made the most of it, extending their winning streak to four games with a weather-shortened road victory behind an early four-run inning and a dominant relief effort that didn't allow a hit over the final four innings.

Ronan Donohue (Sacred Heart) doubled and Jack Lutte (Denison) walked before Sam Gettinger (Hofstra) drove them in with a double.

Danbury padded its lead in the fifth inning on a solo home run by Gavin Donohue (Sacred Heart) and an RBI single from Jack Edmunds (Brown) that scored Ryan Preisano (Wake Forest).
