Fuller and Lops Named Managers for 2026 NECBL All-Star Game
Both managers have led their respective teams to the top of the North and South divisions in the 2026 season.
Peyton Fuller and Nic Lops have been named the managers for the North and South division all-star teams at the 2026 NECBL All-Star game. Lops and Fuller helped lead the Sanford Mainers and the Martha's Vineyard Sharks, respectively, to the top of the North and South divisions. They have led their teams to respective records of 25-7 and 23-11.
Fuller played his collegiate ball at Troy University, before returning back shortly after his playing career as an assistant in 2017. While there, Fuller helped produce multiple pros, as well as multiple award winners, such as 2018 Sun Belt Player of the Year and All-American Joey Denison. His NECBL stint started last year, and it started with a bang, helping lead the Sharks to the NECBL championship last season.
"It's an incredible honor to be named NECBL south manager, but this recognition is earned through the work our team has put in all season. Excited for the opportunity and focused on what's still ahead," Fuller said.
Lops, after a standout collegiate career with St. Joseph's College of Maine, he transitioned into coaching after one year of professional baseball. After serving as the Mainers hitting coach in 2019, he went to the Greater Northeast Collegiate Baseball League (GNCBL), as the NECBL season got canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He led the Lumberjacks to a semifinal appearance that year, before coming back to the Mainers as the head coach in 2021.
To say his tenure has been a success would be an understatement, as Lops is currently the second manager in NECBL history to win manager of the year multiple times (2022, 2024). The Mainers have also notched four consecutive semifinal appearances under his leadership.
"Nic Lops has become one of the premier managers in summer baseball. We couldn't be more excited for Coach Lops to be in the home dugout at Goodall Park," Mainers general manager Aaron Izaryk said of Lops.
