NECBL+ Sets New Streaming Standard for 2025
North Adams, MA - The New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) is proud to announce a new league-wide production standard starting in 2025 for all live broadcasts including 150+ contests streaming on NECBL+.
This offseason the NECBL voted to adopt a minimum four-camera broadcast standard that all teams will aspire to by the end of the 2025 season. This enhanced production infrastructure is designed to showcase the league’s elite talent for fans, coaches, and scouts, while creating a hands-on experiential learning opportunity for college interns and community volunteers who produce broadcasts for each of the league’s 13 franchises.
“Establishing a broadcast standard allows the New England League to deliver our premier brand of baseball — featuring some of the top collegiate talent in the country — to our current fans and to new audiences with increased production value,” said NECBL Commissioner Sean McGrath. “College baseball and softball are enjoying unprecedented growth in streaming popularity, and we’re thrilled to build on that momentum this summer.”
Opening night for the NECBL is slated for June 3rd and the league is currently offering an All Access Season Pass promotion - subscribers will receive a 10% discount prior to June 10th. The NECBL streaming product began to evolve in earnest starting in 2023 with a 10-game pilot program on ESPN+. In 2024, the league streamed 90+ games on ESPN+ including the All Star Game in Bristol, and heading into 2025 all 13 teams have been working hard in preparation to deliver next-level production to the league’s NECBL+ streaming service, which will also feature a “Game of the Night” each night during the regular season.
“The New England League is an elite on-field product,” said Executive Producer PJ Moynihan of Digital Eyes Film, who has worked closely with the league and teams to deliver the live programming. “We believe we are en route to a compelling summer baseball streaming product that sits in a window of the programming calendar that is largely devoid of college sports. This timing makes us highly discoverable and an increasingly fun and viable option for baseball and college sports fans.”
The NECBL teams compete in a 44-game regular season starting on June 3rd which culminates in the league championship series and Fay Vincent, Sr Cup, named for the father of the late and former MLB Commissioner and President of the NECBL from 1997-2003, Fay Vincent, Jr. The NECBL+ streaming schedule and subscription options are available on (Insert link).
