NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – The New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) is pleased to unveil the members of the 2018 All-NECBL First and Second Teams, as announced by Commissioner Sean McGrath on Tuesday.

Comprised of a position player at each spot on the diamond, a designated hitter, three starting pitchers, three relievers and a closer on each side, the league honored 32 student-athletes on their outstanding summers in the New England League.

Twelve of the league’s 13 teams were represented on the All-NECBL Teams, with two-time league champion Valley leading the pack with five total selections alongside South Division regular season champion Plymouth. All three of the Newport Gulls’ selections were first team selections, leading the league in that category, while Keene ranked second with four all-league honorees, as well.

Mystic, Newport, Sanford and league runner-up Ocean State all had three selections, while New Bedford boasted a pair of picks. Danbury, North Adams, Upper Valley and Vermont rounded out the honorees with one all-league selection apiece.

Stay tuned on Wednesday when the league announces the annual end-of-year awards!
