NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – The New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) is pleased to announce its plans to participate in the 2016 Mohegan Sun World Baseball Coaches’ Convention, held Jan. 21-23, 2016, at the Mohegan Sun Convention Center in Uncasville, Connecticut.

The New England League will join a blockbuster lineup of presenters during the three-day event and will add its presence to the exhibit hall with a special league-specific booth for all in attendance.

The reigning NECBL champion Vermont Mountaineers will be represented by head coach Joe Brown, who recently announced his return for a third season in Montpelier. In addition to leading the Mountaineers to the franchise’s third league title in 2015, Brown also guided SUNY Cortland to the Division III national championship to cap off one of the most impressive coaching displays by anyone in the collegiate ranks this past year.

In addition to Brown, the convention’s blockbuster cast of presenters also include Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Marcus Stroman; University of Georgia head coach Scott Stricklin; Michigan State head coach Jake Boss, Jr.; NECBL alum and Toronto Blue Jays first baseman/outfielder Chris Colabello; Arizona Diamondbacks shortstop Nick Ahmed; Bobby Tewksbury, the founder and hitting coach for Tewksbury Hitting; and several others.

Those names are just some of the almost 30 top baseball managers, coaches, players, and performance specialists who will share their knowledge at this world-class baseball coaches’ clinic, which attracts about 1,000 baseball coaches to the Mohegan Sun Convention Center each year.

Coaches of all levels will learn methods for improving their coaching skills and making their teams better – with sessions on everything from hitting and fielding drills to strength & conditioning activities to managerial philosophy. For a full list of coaches' training sessions, go to www.BaseballCoachesClinic.com and click on Event Schedule.

In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to visit the Exhibitor Zone (which attracts more than 80 leading-edge companies showcasing the very latest in baseball technology) and catch up with their fellow coaches for three days of baseball talk.

Mohegan Sun World Baseball Coaches’ Convention pre-registration is only $159 per coach ($189 at the door), which includes a gift bag for all registrants. Pre-registration for students or players (14-18 years old) is just $79.  Special discounted rates are available for groups of five or more coaches.

The 2016 Mohegan Sun World Baseball Coaches' Convention is made possible through the generous support of Mohegan Sun, Extra Innings, Rawlings, On Deck Sports, The Coaches Insider, Traveling Teams, Baseball America, Geno’s Fast Break Restaurant, and Lux Bond & Green.

Registration information, including a complete event schedule, is available at www.BaseballCoachesClinic.com or by calling the event office at 860.674.1500.
