Frank Carey Appointed Co-Director of Baseball Operations

The North Shore Navigators of the New England Collegiate Baseball League, Lynn’s new Baseball team, has appointed Mr. Frank Carey to an executive position with the organization. Mr. Carey will be Co-Director of Baseball Operations for the North Shore Navigators and Community Liaison Director.

Mr. Carey’s responsibilities include working together with the Navigators recruiting staff, Head Coach Jason Falcon and Chief Scout Mike Wilson to recruit Baseball players from Colleges around the country to play their Summer Baseball here. Carey’s responsibilities also include contacting Lynn and North Shore area Youth Baseball programs to set-up Clinics for their players and coaches.

Coach Falcon welcomed the addition to the organization and felt that “Frank brings an aspect to our organization that is going to make our team run smoother and more efficient. We welcome Frank and can’t wait to get going. He is an asset to us and his addition helps out in many ways

Navigators Owner Phil Rosenfield has been working closely with Frank since the team’s arrival in Lynn. “Frank is known in Lynn as a leading member of the Coaching community. We are proud to have Frank join the Navigators organization. Everyone knows that Frank Carey has a wealth of knowledge and experience that makes him one of the best at what he does. We believe that Frank’s presence enhances the quality of our team by offering that wisdom to our players during the season. ”

Mr. Carey, a Lynn native who was named the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) 2007 National Coach of the year, attended and graduated St. Mary’s HS in 1961, where he was Captain of his Baseball and Football teams.

Frank has spent his career in High School Baseball. As Head Baseball Coach at North Reading High School in North Reading, MA for over 40 years, he has Coached 3 State Championship squads and 4 Eastern Massachusetts Championship teams

Coach Carey is a member of the Massachusetts Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame and a four time New England High School Coach of the Year.

Frank started the Eastern Massachusetts High School All-Star Game in 1979 and the Massachusetts-Connecticut All-Star Game in 1980.

He has coached USA teams in international tournaments in Sweden, Finland and Japan and took his High School team to the Netherlands in 1980. Last summer he ran clinics in Aruba for the National team
